Hi again!
DOC: 1907 Museum catalog of ancient Egyptian mirrors. Catalog entry.
CONTEXT: 44101. Boîte à miroir. - Bois et ivoire. - (pl. XXIII). Under the heading of CONSERVATION.

ATTEMPT: but this is enough for the decoration to be fully recreated?/reconstructed? because an entire side of the quadrangular portion and the beginning of the curved portion are still in place.
ISSUE: I think decoration maybe wrong, have I misunderstood? Something is not reflected correctly in my translation.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

No matter how complete the ruin, no matter the wealth of architectural fragments that remain to reconstruct, it is impossible to fully picture the original whole.

Understanding the environment of an incident helps a jury to fully picture the scene and to understand how details of the event fit into that picture.

to get the general picture/get the full picture

Explanation:
My take - though I can't find any good sources to prove it. To me it goes along with "s'imaginer le décor", "planter le décor", etc. It's not so much about any particular "decoration" as something more figurative and more general.

to fully figure out

Explanation:
