I think this is one of those acronyms where it is impossible to be certain. The only acronym identified was by Alison but I didn't think that fitted (but thanks for the suggestion). I do think entretien is most likely because of its connection with maintenance and also the other job categories cited are very general (quality assurance etc). So I've gone with entretien (servicing) with a translator's note.

Thanks to all for your input. it now occurs to me that 'maintenance et entretien' are often used together as 'maintenance and servicing', so perhaps entretien is right
