English term or phrase: lace
Hola, en un texto sobre robos en cajeros automáticos me aparece "lace" en la siguiente frase:

"The latest attack techniques often use backhoes, forklifts, lace, explosives and gas among others."

No tengo claro el significado de "lace" en este contexto, la traducción es para España.

lazo
Explanation:
The ST appears to have originated in Portugal: www.smartstain.pt/protection/why-use-staining-systems

The Portuguese word for lasso (as used by cowboys to catch cattle) is “laço”. I deduce that “lace” is a mis-translation of “laço”, and that a fair Spanish translation would be “lazo”.

One of the other common methods for robbing ATMs is the use of a “lasso” made of chain or steel cable and pulling the ATM away from its mountings with a vehicle.
