"Esporadicamente, era com as plantas que costumava dialogar sobre o que sentia. Sim, dialogar, pois na época de minha infância acreditava que eram elas quem me respondiam. Com as pessoas em geral, embora fosse mais corriqueiro, não ocorriam relações tão sublimes quanto com os elementos da natureza. Atualmente, vejo os dois sendo perfeitamente possíveis."

I'm thinking of rendering the second to last sentence as "Relationships with humans, though more daily, do not happen with as much of a fantastic touch as those with the elements of nature". Seeking second opinions on this.
