The duties of the marketing director included developing and maintaining online and social media marketing measures such as a corporate blog and the XYs LinkedIn profile.

Marketing measures aren't tools of measurement, but tools of marketing, right?

Explanation:
See my note in the Discussion section. It would probably cause a translation error if you equated "marketing measures" with "marketing strategies". "Tools" is also wrong.

The decision to use online and social media, and how they should be used in the context of the overall marketing plan, was a strategy decision. That strategy was then put into action through the measures (activities/actions) of producing a corporate blog and a LinkedIn profile.

So, "stategy" is a higher level of management and "measures" are taken to implement strategy.
