moyennant des cautions in exchange for (some form of) guarantee Explanation: I think you could read "moyennant" to mean in exchange for something.( In legal English, the idea of valuable consideration comes to mind, although that is not the right term in this context, if you have studied law, this may help.) it may be a little more directly in reference to "bonds" as Yolanda has suggested. |
