Yes, it would indeed have helped to give us the ENTIRE menu item in the first place. To start with, if you have only Emmental and croutons etc., I certainly wouldn't say 'with a serving of...' — to me, that's far too much prominence to give to a mere accompaniment; you could quite literally leave out any conjunction and just put a comma, as is often done in French too. Surely your priority is to get the key part of the menu item expressed correctly, and then work around that? |
