Welt nicht davon überzeugen können, besser von der Datengesellschaft oder von Inhaltsgesellschaft

(eher noch von Wissensgesellschaft; vgl. A 1.2.1 in KSS-5) zu sprechen, aber die engere Fachwelt
sollte durchaus reflektieren, was sie jeweils mit Information meint.

neutral  Björn Vrooman: "Gesellschaft" has more than one meaning in German. In the first link you quote, it is about "society" in general. Like Rosseau's "Gesellschaftsvertrag" or social contract in English. It is indeed just a subsidiary; see disc.
