One of the actors involved in the customs clearance procedure - the context is a questionnaire detailing the times for each stage. As such, the only context is a heading to be filled in for 'disponibiização do conferente da mercadoria'.

Could this be 'tally clerk'?

Uma curiosidade: não sei em outros portos, mas nos que trabalhei o papel que eles preenchiam era chamado de "tally", não tinha uma tradução. Uma das minhas funções era buscar o "tally" todos os dias e informar aos clientes a produção do dia.

agree  Frank Miller: I like "inspector" best. Either "package" or "cargo" could work, as well as "goods" or perhaps even "merchandise." :)

  -> Yup, I prefer inspector, too. It depends how they would be called locally. As to the goods, hard to tell what kind of facilities and inspection is carried out without more context. Thank you!
