I apologise, folks - it seems as though this is a client-specific term. Just in case you come across it yourselves, I've decided to call it "illness notification and return to work system" but am loath to gloss it in case it's misleading in other cases, i.e. in this instance, "system" refers to a telephone system more than anything else. Sorry to have wasted your time - yet in one sense we've all learned.

Answer from the end customer is that it's a notification facility, i.e. phone when you're ill/unable to work and can obtain advice as to whether you need to go somewhere for treatment, and the nurse you speak to estimates when you can be expected back at work. Also applies to looking after a sick child. How complicated is that, expressed with 3 words in Swedish!!
