French term or phrase: En l'absence de fragilité
Hello everybody,

This text functions as a commentary to accompany a video explaining how to perform an exercise workout aimed at older adults.

For context, here is the complete sentence: "En l’absence de fragilité au niveau des genoux, du dos ou des cervicales vous pouvez augmenter l’intensité de l’exercice en donnant une légère impulsion."

I am inclined to go with a complete rework and write something like the following: "If your knees, back and neck are coping well with the exercise, feel free to increase the intensity you perform at, by using more force and speed in your movements."

I am not yet a professional translator. All suggestions and criticisms will be very much welcomed. Many thanks, Adam.

Unless there is pre existing weakness of the....
Explanation:
Might be wise to specify weakness or potential for damage, as "coping" might imply simply that the participant hasn't been tired out by the exercise.

En l\'absence de fragilite
If there is no vulnerability / if ... are not vulnerable

Explanation:
This is vulnerability, rather than weakness, e.g. someone might have strong back muscles and be able to do particular exercises easily, but misaligned vertebrae would still mean their back was vulnerable to damage if they did those exercises.

"Where the spinal nerves leave the spine and pass through the intervertebral foramina is a very vulnerable area. If a vertebra is slightly out of place, it may cause the nerve to be ‘pinched' in the intervertebral foramina. The spinal nerves do not have protection against mechanical insults as the brain does.

"The ancient yogis fully understood the vulnerability of the spine and the tendency for slight spinal misalignments to occur. They also knew that if the spine was kept flexible by yoga asanas there would be much less chance of spinal misalignments. Some of the asanas will even correct some minor misalignments."
