Performance stress can be caused by onetime
events or by the nature of the job. The idea of
giving a presentation at a workshop, presenting
the company’s annual report to the shareholders,
giving a presentation to a prospective client, or
speaking at a conference induces tremendous
stress in some individuals and at least a little stress
in most of the rest of us. People who perform in
front of others as part of their job often suffer
from performance stress every day.
