From a financial decision making process, this can be inefficient because one can lower one's tax bill by **booking their losses***. A study has shown that over the longer-term, ***booking losses*** can increase the investment return by 60 to 100 basis points over a ten-year time horizon. Advisors can help investors recognize the opportunity costs of holding losing positions, and therefore help investors feel less uncomfortable about ***booking losses***." (Allerdings: "Verluste buchen" funktioniert m. E. nicht.) |
