albumin-pus-sugar-acetone Explanation: https://books.google.hu/books?id=7Ns8AAAAIAAJ&pg=PA167&lpg=P... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 days (2016-12-06 09:57:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I received a new Kudoz question, where you asked exactly the same term but the explanation was in Dutch. You probably asked whether acetone is the same as ketone. Acetone is not exactly the same as ketone, it is a type of ketone. Dimethyl ketone is acetone. So if you want to write ketone instead of acetone it is not accurate. You should write dimethyl ketone instead. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 days (2016-12-06 09:59:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/acetone Chemical Names: Acetone; 2-propanone; Propanone; Dimethyl ketone; Methyl ketone; http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/acetone in u... acetone in urine test acetone in urine test a test for the presence of dimethylketone in the urine of patients, used as a laboratory indication of ketosis and the severity of diabetes mellitus. Chemically treated test paper strips or sticks are exposed to urine. If acetone is present in the urine as the result of the incomplete breakdown of fatty and amino acids in the body, the test strips change color. A similar test uses a compound added directly to a urine sample. |
