Die vier durch Erdmannsdorff komponierten und 1773 vom Berliner Maler Johann Fischer ausgeführten Fresken in den Tromben der Kuppeldecke stärken diese Deutung.

Just to be clear, I don't mean the modern passive solar building design called a "trombe wall". An element associated with domes and vaulting, possibly trumpet-shaped?
