This is for a Media company. Somehow, 'trading blocs' doesn't seem right in this case, I don't know...

Penso que é isto, porque um "slot" é o espaço dado a um anúncio isolado, um espaço comprado num período mais alargado a que se chama "bloco de publicidade".
