I've come across the word 'Skyddsräl' on at least one previous occasion, but it was a very long time ago and I have failed to find the cross reference. This example,

Befästningssystem till betongsliprar för skyddsräl

is taken from a chapter in a manual with details about Under Sleeper Pads, their installation and placement.
