agree  Anna Herbst: Was not aware that this expression was used in this way in Sweden, but having looked it up it seems this would be the best translation. It used to be that "framåtlutad" connoted old age, cf. Ferlin: "Döden går över vinterland, framåtlutad och stilla".

Asker: Thanks for your response George - in this instance it is looking for a character trait that makes up their persona rather than a physical attribute (this is what threw me)
