Spanish term or phrase: un único volumen de proporción fuertemente alargada
I'm translating a book about unusual homes. There is very very little architectural terminology, but this phrase has got me a bit stumped. I think I know what it means but I'm not sure how to express it, particularly the second half of the phrase:

Siguiendo las indicaciones del cliente, se diseñó una vivienda sencilla, resuelta en una única planta; **un único volumen de proporción fuertemente alargada** en el cual se ubicaron el dormitorio principal en un extremo y los otros dos en el opuesto, destinados para recibir a la familia u otras visitas.

único voumen seems to be single volume but I'm not sure how to express *proporción fuertemente alargada.*

Thanks
