Ez az adószámnak felel meg, és régebben nevezték így. Ma már cod de înregistrare fiscală a neve, habár sokan még a régi CUI néven emlegetik.

A másik (ORC) pedig magyarul cégjegyzékszám, nem cégbejegyzési szám.

Conform Codului de Procedura Fiscala, orice persoana sau entitate care este subiect intr-un raport juridic fiscal se inregistreaza fiscal, primind un cod de identificare fiscala - C.I.F. (echivalentul fostului CUI - Cod Unic de Inregistrare).
