Estoy con la traducción del manual que se entrega a los padres de alumnos de escuela primaria para que conozcan las políticas de gestión de la escuela y dice lo siguiente:

agree  MollyRose: Could be lectoescritura, too. According to RAE, alfabetización is teaching reading and writing. Lectoescritura is teaching and/or learning it.
