Hello, I asked this question earlier and received no suggestions so I am reposting it in a simpler form.
We are talking about automatic wiring tests for aircraft. This is one of the tools required for the tests.

The text goes on to say:

Il existe trois types de faux calculateurs passifs :

Les faux calculateurs passifs sans chaînage.

Les faux calculateurs passifs chaînés.

Les faux calculateurs passifs avec chaînage.


And this is what they do:

Les faux calculateurs passifs

assurent l’acheminement filaire des points à tester, vers les unités de sonnage, avec un raccordement direct à l’avion en lieu et place des vrais calculateurs.

Il s’agit d’unités passives n’intégrant ni composant ni carte électronique.

Ils comportent uniquement du câblage filaire point à point et des résistances de détrompage pour leur reconnaissance par le système.
