This is from a report on a hospitalized patient with a long list of problems:

... nefropatia ... cardiopatia dilatativa associata a valvulopatia, epatopatia cronica cardiogena, diabete mellito tipo II *pluricomplicato* con severa arteriopatia ... etc.

I find a few online examples of "pluricomplicated" but they seem to all be translations from Italian articles, where the translator didn't bother to ask a question on ProZ to check his/her translation. We also have a prior KudoZ question where the answer given was "pluricomplex;" however, I don't find any online examples of "pluricomplex diabetes" and almost nothing if I try "pluricomplex disease."

What does this mean? Does it just mean "with many complications"? Is there a standard word in English for this?
