In un testo del settore dell'edilizia, all'interno di un elenco di elementi legati al tetto trovo l'espressione "profiled trays".
Ricerche in rete rimandano all'espressione "tray roofing", che compare spesso accanto a cladding (rivestimenti di tetti). I "tray" sembrerebbero un sistema di supporto o di montaggio.

Sarebbe interessante capire l'origine (geografica) del testa da tradurre.
In Nuova Zelanda, per esempio, mi pare che le coperture in lamiera siano frequenti.
