I've worked in this field for 15+ years now, and I can tell you that a 'quadrotto' is the big panel on which multiple PCBs can be printed. If the PCB is small (for example, 10x10cm) and the total area of the panel is 50x50cm, then you will be able to fit (= 'inquadrottare') 25 identical PCBs on the same panel. Being able to fit as many PCBs as possible onto the same 'quadrotto' is important in order to waste as little space as possible within the panel itself. Some panels may contain 'fails' (i.e. PCBs that are not working because their electrical connections are wrong or have not been printed properly), which are detected by an electrical test that must be performed by the PCB supplier immediately after production. If there are no fails, all the PCBs in the quadrotto are okay and the customer can have them mounted with the needed components. On the other hand, customers may reject panels which contain fails, because their pick-and-place machines aren't always equipped to mount components just of the working PCBs and ignore the fails within the same panel.
