This term came up in a technical report on damage to a steam turbine, in its Heat shield, namely in the 2nd stage, on the blades and the vanes of the Stator Heat Shiel - SHS. Could it even be a tipo?

A turbina 01, denominada como GT11, após a vistoria e constatação dos defeitos (atritos, trinca e desalinhamento), foi realinhada pelo fabricante visando corrigir e afastar a parte rotora dos pontos onde foram identificados os roçamentos (atritos), bem como teve sua operação restrita aos limites inferiores da curva de potência versus durabilidade, ou temperatura e pressão de trabalho, versus vida útil.
