The percentage of exposed area is the open area divided by the exposed area of steel following around the profiles. The percentage of cover area is the open area divided by the plan area of the soffit.

All RoofDek perforated decking provides excellent sound absorption characteristics, our technical team can provide details of systems tested for both absorption and reduction."

You should really add the word "corrugated" in front of the term I posted, to clarify how the steel sheets come to have webs.

A "web plate" is the steel plate that the web is made from. So, in describing a girder, one might say the web plate is 10 mm thick. However, as this is a corrugated sheet, it would make little sense as the same sheet serves for the webs and the top and bottom of the deck. It is a series of beams in the mechanical sense, not in terms of appearance and it would not be right to describe it as a set of girders either.

Mais j'ai déjà vu "joist" pour des poutrelles métalliques (le bac acier est métallique à l'extérieur) et "girder" pour des poutrelles béton, donc je laisse les spécialistes anglophones trancher

neutral  B D Finch: This is not a beam, but a corrugated deck, which acts as a series of linked beams. Yes,"âme" is "web", i.e. a component whose function is to hold the top and bottom flanges apart so that stresses can be transferred between them..
