Un bambino chiede a sua madre se un paio di suoi pantaloni appena lavati sono sempre stati color senape. E poi, lamentandosi, dice: "I can't pull this color off, non ho vestiti che mi stiano bene..."

agree  tradu-grace: yes for *non mi sta bene* and *non riesco proprio a mettere quel colore*. I wouldn't use *dona* and *indossare* 'cause it is unlikely for a very young child (if he is) to use these terms. But may be I'm wrong, we do not know much about him....

considerando il significato dell'idiom "pull something off" ovvero riuscire a far qualcosa che altri non sono riusciti a fare pur avendone maggiori possibilità, direi che in questo contesto il tutto può tradursi così:
"Non ce la posso proprio fare,/è un colore fuori da ogni logica" o espressioni simili.
Il senso va riferito al colore, non al fatto che non stia bene al bambino.
Io tradurrei così.
