"Lagar" é tanto o lugar quanto o recipiente em que é feita, entre outras coisas, a extração do suco das uvas. Tradicionalmente, faz-se a "pisa" dentro de lagares (vide link), esmagando as uvas com os pés, mas hoje esse processo é automatizado.
