Although the lack of proper context does not enable us to be 100% sure, that is a less likely scenario, IMHO — there is nothing in the source text as given to suggest this is specifically a TRAVEL accident (in fact, quite likely to be the contrary — travel accidents are often handled quite separately).
The only thing that seems to be clear from the context is that this is an accident taking place in a work context, but NOT in the usual workplace — i.e. one where the employer may have less control over potential hazards.

accident du travail , dans le cadre professionnel - ici il s'agit donc d'un accident qui se déroule dans le cadre d'une mission professionnelle (déplacement, travail hors entreprise) et que l'auteur qualifie en français dans sa procédure d'ACCIDENT DE MISSION - je cherche donc à traduire cette expression en anglais. BTW do you get additional points by qualifying a question as non pro when grading ??
