Seems to refer to splices which join sections of a screw conveyor together. Can anybody help me reach a more accurate translation?

Here's the context:

2.4 Förlängning, spiral och rör
Spiralen utgörs av stålspiral med centrum av stålrör. Galvaniserat ytterrör Ø102mm. Spiral, ytterör, skarvmanschett och skruvpåse bildar tillsammans en så kallad förlängning.
Dessa levereras i standardlängder 1, 2 och 3m.

En inloppsförlängning innehåller utöver ytterrör/ skyddskorg och spiral även skarvmanschett och skarvtapp.
