Добрый день!

Подскажите, как правильнее перевести на английский название детского ансамбля - РАЗНОЦВЕТЬЕ, мы перевели как MULTICOLOURS.
Насколько это корректно звучит?

Спасибо!

neutral  Vika Lex: unfortunately the rainbow recently became a symbol for LGBT movement, which makes it an ambiguous name for a group of kids

agree  P.L.F. Persio: well, they don't "own" rainbows yet; I think this is really lovely.

agree  Ilan Rubin (X): Sounds good to me. Rainbows have been adopted by many movements, e.g. the 'rainbow coalition'. So what? And why, Vika Lex, you faux 'English native speaker', is that 'unfortunate'?

The Kaleidoscope Choir/Technicolor Choir/Colorful Choir

Explanation:
Assuming that this children's ensemble is a choir I would go for one of the above.

The alliteration in the above makes the name more snappy and memorable...

Be sure to use "the" definite article for a name.

If it's not a choir you could possibly consider: "The Kaleidoscopic Ensemble"

UK English spelling for the latter two options are: The Technicolour Chor and The Colourful Choir respectively

Hope this helps.

festival of colors

Explanation:
Here we have the connotation of multiple colors, festivity and joy.
There is also a Hindu holiday which is translated similarly, and it is the most colorful event you can imagine.

The chromatic scale is a musical scale with twelve pitches, each a semitone above or below another. On a modern piano or other equal-tempered instrument, all the semitones have the same size (100 cents). In other words, the notes of an equal-tempered chromatic scale are equally spaced. An equal-tempered chromatic scale is a nondiatonic scale having no tonic because of the symmetry of its equally spaced notes
