Estou traduzindo frases soltas, nas quais não está muito claro o que o autor quer dizer com settings, setup e configuration:
Basic SETUP of the machine. 1) Remove the bearing covers and their bolts; 2) Remove the cylinder; 3)Move the cylinder carriage fully backward 4) Move the gripper carriage forward and close the gripper around the rod 5) fit a 8mm rod through the two bearings 6) Measure the distance between the 2 rods. 7) Use a worksheet to calculate the distance between the 2 centrelines....
In this case it shows the SETUP for the transducer of the gripper.. . .
The original intention was to provide protection against an incorrect SETUP of the machine

In this display select the tab “Param.”, this will only show the relevant SETTINGS. Like 1A that is an indication of the maximum current that should go the valves...
The remaining SETTINGS in the valve CONFIGURATION are set to 0:
