Basically, you're asking a question that doesn't fit the Kudoz rules and cannot be answered properly as it stands. You seem to be asking for a one-word answer to fit all situations, which of course is impossible. There being so many possible solutions depending on context, how would you be able to judge which answer is the most helpful without requiring an essay on the matter - which is not what KudoZ is really about - ?
You could get around this by posting the question with the term in its proper context, and if the examples you quote are from the text you're translating then perhaps it would be better to post these as two separate questions, as the translation of "destacar" will clearly not be the same in each case.
