English term or phrase: London red routes
Hi all,

I am looking for a French translation, if there is one, for the London red routes where traffic cannot stop or unload at any time. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_route
I don't believe such thing exists in France and a simple 'rues rouges' wouldn't make much sense in my sentence:
'It was rush hour along one of the busiest red routes in London.'

Thank you for your input!

principales artères de Londres
Explanation:
Given that you apparently don't need to explain more than this, I think this is better and more accurate than 'l'une des rues la plus fréquentée', which would suggest pedestrians, while parts of some red routes have lots of pedestrians and other parts have hardly any.

I think that for the limited space and time the subtitle will be on screen, this translation is the best and will convey the intended meaning.
Thank you B D Finch!

disagree  B D Finch: With 20 mph speed limits on some of them?!

http://www.leparisien.fr/paris/la-suppression-de-l-axe-rouge...
