En partant de la définition de "copie" http://www.dictionnaire-juridique.com/definition/copie.php "Copie", et "duplicata" sont les mots utilisés indistinctement pour désigner la reproduction manuscrite, mécanique ou électronique d'un contrat ou d'un document quelconque. En revanche, le "double", est un second original signé par le déclarant ou par les parties. je comprends que "double" étant un second original signé, on peut tout à fait utiliser en double exemplaire, ce qu'on entend et qu'on utilise tout le temps. Sur Legifrance https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/eli/decret/2011/1/7/MAEJ10330... on trouve "fait en double exemplaire original", ce qui me conforte dans ma réponse.
