French term or phrase: appeler les primes
This along with "appel des primes" has come up a few times and each time I'm not completely convinced I'm translating it correctly. Here is an example:

"Lorsqu'il bénéficie d'un mandate pour appeler les primes, le courtier procède a l'appel des primes auprès des Souscripteurs suivant la périodicité prévue..."

Any help would be appreciated!!

disagree  Paul Stevens: I seriously doubt that this will be "bonus" as the "primes" are being collected from the policyholders.

collect premium payments

Explanation:
Word for word, you would probably go with "request premium payments", however, unless your text makes a distinction between "appeler" and "encaisser" I would use "collect" as it is more idiomatic.

Example sentence(s):
  • By definition, an insurance agent acts on behalf of the insurer it represents, and as such is vested with apparent authority to collect premium payment from an insured. Hence, payment to an insurance agent is deemed to be payment to the insurer.
  • Collecting the premium payments
