history of present illness Explanation: this is a remnant of the European medical school lingo which (unfortunately) is still existent in modern medical language in Israel. It may also be a direct transliteration used by physicians trained in some European languages. In modern English (US) we would say: did the student consider all the important info in the pt's history of present illness (HPI). the term "anamnesis/anamnesia" is preserved for use in Psychiatry or Neurology evaluations. |
