"Streamlined" ha in genere due significati: quello diretto, relativo a una forma elegante e aerodinamica, e quello indiretto e figurato, che indica il concetto di semplificazione, velocizzazione ed efficienza. Il primo significato si utilizza nel settore del design e delle automobili, ed ogni volta che si descrive l'eleganza di una forma esteriore. L'ho perciò subito escluso dal caso presente, per il quale, secondo me, il termine non può che avere il secondo tipo di significato.
