Dichiarare subito l'obiettivo di una presentazione permette all'oratore di avere un maggiore controllo sulla sua presentazione (e sul livello di stress!) e al pubblico di poterla seguire più facilmente. Direi quindi che potresti utilizzare "obiettivo", "motivo" o "scopo della presentazione". Probababilmente c'è di meglio, ma non mi viene in mente altro. vedi un es. “The reason for my call is to talk to you about your experiences at our games and see what we can do to save you some money when you get back out in 2015. How does that sound?” This shows clear intent…and, if they say ‘ok’ (which they will), they have verbally agreed to enter a sales conversation.
