English term or phrase: illumination flux
1. An automated, computerized method for determining illumination in an optical color image, comprising the steps of:
identifying depth information in the optical image;
generating a linear mega-token for the optical color image as a function of the depth information; and
utilizing the linear mega-token to analyze illumination flux in the image,
wherein a linear mega-token is a linear token comprising several adjacent uniform tokens,
wherein a uniform token is a connected region of the optical color image wherein adjacent pixels of the region have differing color measurement values that fall within a cylinder in color space from a dark end to a bright end along a positive slope, wherein this cylinder is predicted by a bi-illuminant dichromatic reflection BIDR model, according to which the appearance of a single-color surface under all combinations of an incident illuminant and an ambient illuminant is represented by a BIDR cylinder in color space,
wherein the linear mega-token comprises only adjacent tokens that fall within a BIDR cylinder for the linear token.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the depth information in the optical color image is obtained from a disparity map for the optical color image.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the disparity map is obtained from a stereo image pair.

4. The method of one of the claims 1 to 3, comprising the further step of utilizing the linear mega-token to adjust a pixel color value as a function of BIDR model information color values, in a color correct image manipulation step.

Lichtstromdichte
Explanation:
illumination flux = luminous flux density = Lichtstromdichte

illumination = Beleuchtungsstärke, Lichtstärke - see http://dict.leo.org/ende/index_de.html#/search=illumination&...

Lighting Design and Simulation Knowledgebase - Lighting Design Glossary

Illumination is a deprecated term for Illuminance - illuminance = Beleuchtungsstärke - see http://www.schorsch.com/en/kbase/glossary/illuminance.html

Die Beleuchtungsstärke Ev (englisch illuminance) auf einer Fläche gibt an, welcher Lichtstrom auf eine Flächeneinheit fällt. Eine weitere Bezeichnung ist also Lichtstromdichte. - see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beleuchtungsstärke

luminous flux density = Lichtstromdichte - see http://www.schorsch.com/en/kbase/glossary/illuminance.html

Luminous Flux: (Term of photometry) Luminous flux is photometrically weighted radiant flux (power). - see http://www.schorsch.com/en/kbase/glossary/luminous-flux.html

Radiant Flux (Strahlungsfluß) - Radiant Power (Terms of radiometry) Radiant flux is radiant energy per unit time. - see http://www.schorsch.com/en/kbase/glossary/radiant-flux.html
