Can anyone please help me with the meaning of the above phrase. I can't even have a stab at its meaning.

It is part of a legal agreement. Here is the full context:

Las partes intervinientes designan como domicilio a efectos de las comunicaciones a que diere lugar el presente convenio, el expresado en el encabezamiento, entendiéndose bien realizadas las que se practiquen en el mismo.

So far I have: The address designated by the parties for the communication purposes resulting from this agreement will be that expressed above, understanding.............
