German term or phrase: respektive zu
Dies* führt zu einem negativen Vorbescheid respektive zu einer negativen Verfügung unter Kostenfolge.
This will lead to an unfavourable preliminary decision and an unfavourable final decision with payment of a fee [guesswork]

* i.e. not answering questions in the context of a drug application procedure.

In a Swiss document. Is "respektive zu" Swiss German? Does it mean simply "and" or something else?

Thanks very much in advance!

IMO, the best fit here is 'or'.
From the way you phrased your Q it sounded as though you were having difficulties with the collocation 'respektive zu'.
Dies führt zu A oder (führt) zu B.

I am thinking, either this is a clumsy way of putting this in German and my solution is correct. Or this could be eloquent German, and I missed the point.. We'll see..

Asker: OK thanks. I know it can mean all these things, but which one fits best here is more difficult to decide.

agree  Armorel Young: "or" or "or rather" should work well, but I agree with philgoddard that "respectively" looks as though isn't going to work here since "dies" is a single thing.
