Explanation:
This is always where a student works (for some, but not full, pay) at a place of employment (I've seen it mostly in the private sector, but am not sure about this), and then they write a thesis about what they did. Daughter to a good friend of mine did her Master's in engineering 'exjobb' at Scania (designing a little part of the truck door), and got a patent to her name for the work she did. Most of the time this seems to lead to regular employment. But this can be a Bsc or other kind of bachelor degree as well.
