Medical - Medical: Health Care / report on Spain\'s Alzira Model
Spanish term or phrase: bata blanca
Hi everyone! This is a report on Spain's Alzira healthcare model. Is there any way to translate 'bata blanca'? I know it means 'white coat' but is there a term in English or is it self explantory due to the footnote? Thanks for your help!

lab coat

Explanation:
It's more commonly referred to as a "lab coat" in English. That conveys the idea that it is something a doctor wears and not just a white coat.

agree  Muriel Vasconcellos: Reminds me of the title of a book I read, "White Coat, Black Hat," by Carl Elliott - an exposé of medicine in the U.S. which is a huge eye-opener.
