transfer of possession Explanation: This probably means a document releasing the plant into the possession of the contractor, so that they can carry out the work. However, it is not the usual way of putting it. Note that possession is not the same as ownership. When a contractor is carrying out major works, they need to be given possession of the site before start-on-site. This means they have control of access and responsibility for expenses arising, damage etc. At completion, possession is handed back to the owner. |
