Marketing - Medical: Pharmaceuticals
French term or phrase: descentes
I have a three item list of "display" units in a Pharmacy - tête de gondole (gondola/shelving), vitrine (showcase) and finally "descentes". Are these some sort of wall panels/posters with information rather than containers for products?

Any help greatly appreciated :-)

English translation:descending shelves
Explanation:
There are no standard terms for display units, so you can call them what you like. But as my two references show, they're shelf units that decrease in depth from top to bottom, creating a step, or pyramid effect. You could also say pyramid, stepped, tiered or angled shelves.

The word "descente" doesn't appear in my French reference, but I got there from a link on the manufacturer's website that says "descentes de présentation".

Sorry, I meant "increase in depth from top to bottom".

Vertical divider/partition

Explanation:
Could this be what they mean? A type of partition between shelving, or at the end of a shelf to allow for another fitting or an alternative set up?

Example sentence(s):
  • "Accessoires merchandising : …. réglette porte-prix / porte-séparateurs, poussoirs…. glorifieur, cadre promo … séparateur vertical (DESCENTE)….."
  • "36" (914 mm) and 48" (1219 mm) cabinet comes with VERTICAL PARTITION"

descente - rack, display case/unit

In the following question, even for those who don't read Italian, the parts in French may be useful.

descentes produits - display verticale dei prodotti
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_italian/marketing_market...

Not sure how reliable the following reference is, but ...

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:OCDhSdK...

[image included]
http://www.biolineaires.com/articles/bio-reportages/1470-mel...

http://www.alain-moroni.fr/telechargement/btsmuc/S423-4-3 L&...

The following reference also has an image (and the English version refers simply to shelves)
