Conversion from the common logarithm to the natural logarithm

Explanation:
Alternatively you can you use their names
"Conversion from the common logarithm to the natural logarithm, and vice versa."
Common logarithm is known "log" and the natural logarithm "ln"

Natural logarithms are different than common logarithms. While the base of a common logarithm is 10, the base of a natural logarithm is the special number e.

neutral  Francois Boye: Where is the translation of 'base?

-> It is not necessary. Common log = log to the base 10. Natural log = log to the base e. Sounds less wordy, is more natural and more commonplace, IMO. Where's your translation of "natural"? SSDD

neutral  Thomas Walker: I think that, although this is probably about logarithms, that's not what the text says, & we should probably stick a little closer to the ST.

-> Common log = log to the base 10. I can't see any "probably", it's definitely about logs. It's just a neater way of saying the same thing, when you understand the maths behind it. Secondly, as I said to Francois, his version neglects "natural". 6 + 1/2 dz
