German term or phrase:knackige Proportionen
Context:
"Durch seine große Breite und einen vergleichsweise großen Radstand (X.X in / Y.Y mm) bei extrem kurzen Überhängen (vorn X in / Y mm, hinten X in / Y mm) zeigt er ausgesprochen knackige Proportionen."
How would you put "zeigt er ausgesprochen knackige Proportionen" when referring to a car with proportions described in this manner?
* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above * Document type: Workshop manual * Target audience: Motor mechanics * Country and dialect (source): German * Country and dialect (target): British English
Thanks for the info - but it is really rather unusual. On the other hand, muscular shows up here..."Has your SUV been working out? People can't help but notice the muscular new look of the GLC. Honed in the wind tunnel and tuned on the track, its long wheelbase, big wheels and wide track add up to more space, stability and sportiness. And from its crisp proportions to its chrome details, it attracts admiring eyes like it's drawn to the road." Crisply muscular anyone?? LOL

Pity, though, mechanics might enjoy some kick-ass descriptions.
I copied and pasted from a previous question - shame on me! It isn't actually a workshop manual aimed at mechanics, but a press release/web page aimed at car show visitors and/or press.
Actually the term that comes to mind is "sexy", which obviously can't be used in this context. Kick-ass is great, but also questionable in this context. A possible alternative would be luscious. Muscular is pretty good in the context of a car...I do a lot of work in this industry. But crisp is definitely not appropriate.
didn't know that when I posted, and wouldn't have thought it of a family car. Here are some alternatives: competent proportions work horse? wicked :-) masterly or even roadmaster (but that could be some kind of copyrighted name)

crisp proportions
Explanation: You could say "beautifully crisp proportions". "Crisp" is the exact equivalent of "knackig", so you may as well use it, the idea being simple, elegant, no-nonsense.
