4.7 RAM HEAD LINERS
The object of the ram head liners (item 67) is to provide a low friction contact between the resistance cover and the ram head.
As the resistance cover locks and breaks the wedge, there is up and down movement of the cover.
Without this sliding ability at the push/pull face, the cylinder rod will eventually shear.
Move the resistance head in but do not engage the wedges.
Remove the ram head slides (item 70) withdraw the cylinder rod using the pushbuttons.
